Using Google Takeout to Retain your Google Data Before Cutover
Have you been using Google services, other than Gmail, with your DSL Extreme account?
If so, then you must archive and download your data using Google Takeout a simple tool designed to facilitate the capture and archiving of Google services data. If you do not do this before your webmail cutover (Week of June 8th), your data will be lost.
More specifically, content stored within Google that is associated with your @dslextreme.com email address (such as files stored in your Google Drive, Calendar events, Picasa photo albums or YouTube videos) must be captured BEFORE cutover to avoid loss. The downloaded Data will be provided in a variety of open, portable formats so that you can easily import the data into other internet services.
If you have additional questions about the Google Takeout utility, please read through Download your data: FAQ.
Important: Please note that your email and contacts will be migrated to the new webmail system, by us, during the webmail transition process. In other words, you don't have to do anything to transition your webmail from Gmail to the new system - this will be done for you.
Ready to archive your data?
Google has provided a quick and easy way to export all of your application data. You'll be provided with an archive.
What next? Once you're logged in (and you might have to do it twice), select the data you'd like to include, click Next and then Create Archive.
If selected, a link will be emailed to you to download the archive after Google finishes preparing it (this can take more than six hours, depending on your Data).
