Setting up IMAP in Windows Live Mail

Go to the Accounts tab, find the New Account section and select Email:


On the ‘Add your email accounts’ pane enter the following information:



Email address: your dslextreme username. IE: [email protected]
Password: Your dslextreme password
Display Name: Enter your name
Check Remember this password

Click Next

 
Configure server settings pane:

Incoming server information section:
Select IMAP from the Server type dropdown.
Server Address: mail.dslextreme.com
Port: 993
Check the Requires a secure connection (SSL) checkbox.
Logon user name: Enter your full dslextreme email address. IE: [email protected]



Outgoing server information section:
Server address: Smtp.dslextreme.com
Port: 465
Check both the Requires a secure connection (SSL) and Requires authentication checkboxes.

Click Next



Click Finish to exit the setup wizard.
