    Re-subscribing to a newsgroup using Outlook Express



    This knowledge base article will inform you on how to re-subscribe to a newsgroup using Outlook Express as your default news client 
     
    1. Under the News Server address, Right Click on the name of each Newsgroup.Select “Unsubscribe”
     


     
2. A dialog box will appear asking for confirmation to unsubscribe from the group.  Click “OK” to confirm that the group should be unsubscribed.


 
3. If this was the last group to be unsubscribed, a dialog box will appear asking to see a list of available groups.  Please click “No” to this option.
 

 
 
  1. Right Click on the news server name and select “Reset List”


 
  1. Please wait while the available list of Newsgroups is downloaded.  Once the download is complete, right-click on the News server name and select “Newsgroups…”  Or, select “Newsgroups…” from the middle menu.

 
 
  1. A list of all groups will appear.  Verify that the “All” tab is currently selected.  Type in an entire newsgroup or part of a newsgroup name.  Highlight the group or groups to be subscribed, and click “Subscribe”



  2. Repeat step 6 for all groups to be added, when finished click “OK” to be returned to the groups that have now been subscribed.
