Rosemont Premiers New Miniatures

Olszewski Studios showed prototypes and prices of the following miniature figurines from the Storytime Collection. The following 4 pieces will be due out September.

Til Then (Merryweather by candelabra) - Issue price is $155.

You're a Big Hit, Dumbo (Timothy Mouse washing Dumbo) - Issue price is $145.

Whoa Nellie (Jiminy on Seahorse) \endash Issue price is $110.

Not a Finger or a Hook (Tinkerbell scolding Captain Hook) - Issue price is $175.

The following 4 pieces are due out in November.

Beauty and the Beast - Belle and Beast in front of the fireplace after Beast was attacked by the wolves, and Belle is bandaging his wound.

Bambi - Bambi and Flower in the thrushes with Thumper holding the piece of clover telling Bambi to "try it".

Winnie the Pooh - Christopher Robin pulling Pooh out of Rabbit's hole.

Dumbo - Dumbo in the parade.

Twitterpated and Time to Wash is Here

"Twitterpated" (Thumper and Miss Bunny), and "Time to Wash" (Show White soup scene) started to arrive at the dealers in late June. These miniatures are the first of 6 summer releases.

Ever After Production Problem

A production batch of "Ever After" (Snow White on horse) figurines did not meet Olszewski quality control requirements, so they have to be redone. This redo will delay delivery of "Ever After" to the stores for a few months.

Possible Future Releases

Olszewski Studios shared ideas for future releases. These may occur in 2002 or beyond.

Peter Pan - Captain Hook and Tinkerbell miniature is the first piece in the "big/small" character pieces. Look for the Blue Fairy with Jiminy Cricket, where she asks if he wants to be Pinocchio's conscience. Another big/small piece may be Lucifer and Gus with the over turned teacup.

Cinderella - Look for a scene where Cinderella runs out into the garden after her dress is torn. The piece will include the Fairy Godmother.

Sleeping Beauty - Look for dress making scene where the dress will be depicted in pink and blue colors and both Flora and Merryweather zapping the dress. Another scene would be where uninvited guest Maleficent hovers over Aurora's cradle. A third possible scene is where Briar Rose dances with Prince Phillip unbeknownst to her and the forest animals holding the cape.

Beauty and the Beast - Belle walking through the town reading her book and stops to skip rope with the town girls.

Snow White - Snow White is backed into the corner with the Hag moving towards her extending the apple. Another piece would be Evil Queen will be a companion piece to the Snow White in tower with Prince, and depicts the Queen in the turret, watching the young couple.

Remember these are early information and Olszewski Studios may change their plans.

Bob will be at the following shows in the Summer and Fall. He will speaking at the NFFC Convention July 19 and be at the Show and Sell July 22.
