New Miniatures in January

The Olszewski Studios is showing authorized dealers 10 new miniature figurines in January. The new miniatures are 1 piece from Bambi, 1 piece from Cinderella, 2 from Peter Pan, 2 from Pinocchio, 2 from Snow White, and 2 from Winnie the Pooh. The new pieces will be available the first half of 2001. Dealers will order, and then the first three of these miniatures will arrive at the stores in February.

Edition sizes have gone up by 250, per my report last November. Bambi is starting at 2,750 pieces. The new Cinderella, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Snow White and Winnie the Pooh miniatures are 250 pieces higher than the previous release.

Bambi

A couple of months ago, I reported that Olszewski will start a new series in 2001, Bambi. The first piece from this movie is Winter Fun, showing Bambi and Thumper sliding on ice.

Peter Pan

During the same event, Olszewski showed a prototype of Kidnapped, where Captain Hook and Mr. Smee have kidnapped Tiger Lilly in a canoe. The Crocodile is looking on with his menacing eyes just above the water. This complex miniature is issued at $145 and will be in the stores in February.

Cinderella

Olszewski Studios is releasing one new miniature from Cinderella, Freeing Cinderella, showing Jaq and Gus pulling along the key. It is a cute piece and a dramatic event in the story. No release date has been announced.

Snow White and Seven Dwarfs

For Snow White fans, Kiss of the Dove and Sealed with a Kiss are the new introductions. Kiss of the Dove shows Snow White in the tower and Sealed with a Kiss shows the Prince looking up to Snow White. No release date has been announced.

Winnie the Pooh

For Pooh lovers, the two new miniatures are In Search of Honey and A Visit to Rabbit House. In Search of Honey is cute as Pooh is riding on his tricycle looking for his favorite food. The two pieces will be available in March.

Pinocchio

Little Donkey and Having Fun from Pinocchio round out the 10 new pieces. Little Donkey shows Pinocchio with donkey ears and tail. It is a critical point in the story line, as Pinocchio has become a donkey instead a real boy because of his evil ways. Having Fun shows Pinocchio and Lampwick playing pool. No release date has been annuonced.
