New Miniatures for the Fall

In the July issue of Latest News, I had discussed the fact there will be 4 new miniatures that will be released in the August to September period and 4 new miniatures that will be released in the October to November period. More new information is available for the 4 new pieces being released in November.

Try Some of These: This is the new Bambi piece where Thumper is offering Bambi clover. What is exciting about this piece is the theater-like look. The thrushes or grass form a backdrop for Thumper and Bambi, resulting in a look that the two characters are on stage. The colors are darker than the previous two Bambi miniatures. Issue price is $135.

Dumbo's First Parade: This is the second Dumbo miniature. Little Dumbo is marching in a parade and has just stepped on a mud puddle. A doll-like character is sitting on a seat on top of Dumbo. Issue price is $90.

Tenderly, Belle Heals the Beast - (Beast sitting on a chair and Belle is bandaging his wound) - Issue price $95.00

With a Heave Ho (Chritopher Robin pulling Pooh out of Rabbit's hole) - Issue price $155.

Buried Alive is Here

Buried Alive (Old Hag) miniature was available for sale at an event in California August 11 and will be coming to other dealers soon.

Change to Beauty and Beast Miniature

Olszewski made a small change to the new Beauty and the Beast piece, after the picture was taken. . Bob changed the eyes of Belle so that she now has eyelids and eyeballs. This is the first time he has put such details on eyes of a character in the Storytime Collection. He will have to take a special trip to the Chinese factory to show them how to do this.

New Signing

Bob Olszewski is now signing Enchanted Places miniatures. Also he is now permitted to sign the WDCC "Dress for Cinderelly." He had sculpted and assembled this sought after piece in 1992 and was never given the credit for doing so until now.

Storytime in Japan and Canada

Olszewski is opening the Storytime Collection to Japan and Canada this year. Once the collectible stores in these country order the pieces, the Storytime pieces with low quantity may sell out to dealers quickly.
