6 Miniatures Arrives at the Stores

On the first week October, the following 6 Storytime miniatures started to arrive at authorized dealers: Ever After (Snow White on Prince's Horse), Fireside Thoughts (Pooh), Almost Finished (Geppetto painting Pinocchio), You Can Fly (Nana), Oh, My Slipper (Cinderella's Coach), and Cleaning House (Dwarfs House). If you preorder these pieces, you should be getting a call from your dealer.

Goldilocks Figurine is a Second Edition

Olszewski Studios previously produced a Goldilocks miniature figurine with an artist proof edition of 100 and then with a limited edition of 750. Prices was $425 and $225 respectively, and production was in California. The 750 limited edition has not been completed. For the Storytime Collection, the studio is producing a second edition of Goldilocks figurines with an edition size of 5,000. Price is $35, and production is in China. All have the same style mark 41. The artist proofs are marked 41(A/P)

Displays for the Miniatures

Except for Goldilocks and Hansel and Gretel, the Storytime miniatures do not come with displays. Because the pieces tell the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or Cinderella, it would be right to show them with background scenes.

Some possible displays are the Walt Disney Art Classics Enchanted Places, Department 56 Disney houses, Goebel displays that came along with the Goebel Disney miniatures, and Forma Vitrum Disney houses. Forma Vitrum are lighted glasses, about the size of Department 56 houses, and difficult to find. The Disney pieces are Snow White and Dwarfs' Cottage, Geppetto's Toy Shop, Peter Pan Darling's House, Sleeping Beauty's Woodcutter's Cottage, and Belle's Cottage.

Details, Details

Robert goes to great length to create details. The tongue sticking out of Dopey's mouth in Ever After has a line down the middle. But he cannot please everyone. Some collectors complain that the face is blank on the little figure of Snow White in Cleaning House. Granted the whole figure is only 1/3 of an inch. Still the collectors feel there should have been at least two dots for eyes.
