Name Servers
Your name servers must be changed in order for people to view your site using DSLExtreme's MYDNS system. This is done through the registrar that you originally registered your domain name through. Two name servers are employed; a primary and secondary. In order for your site to be viewable by it's domain name, the name servers it's delegated to at the registry must be changed to ours. You can usually change this information by logging into your registrar's web interface (if available) and looking for the section for name servers.
When changing the name server settings, some registrar's require both Host Name & IP Address, while others require only the Host Name. If only a Host Name is required, then you would simply need to put into the Host Name Fields:
NS6.DSLEXTREME.COM
NS7.DSLEXTREME.COM
If a Host Name AND an IP Address are required, then you would put in the Host Name fields:
NS6.DSLEXTREME.COM 66.159.237.12
NS7.DSLEXTREME.COM 66.51.199.67
If you are unable to find the name server section of your control panel or a control panel is unavailable, please contact your registrar's support team for assistance.
