Setting up Microsoft Entourage 2008
| Please follow the below steps to setup Microsoft Entourage 2008 on your computer. (Hosted Exchange 2007 only) | | In order to complete this setup you will need to gather 2 required settings from http://ems1.dslextreme.net | 1. Log on to http://ems1.dslextreme.net. Type your primary email address as the User Name. | | 2. Click on Exchange ‐> Exchange Summary from the menu on the left side of the screen. | | 3. Write down or take note of the Account ID and Exchange Server values under the Microsoft Entourage 2008 section. (Sample below) |
| 4. Launch Microsoft Entourage 2008 | | 5. Go to Tools ‐> Accounts | | 6. Select File ‐> New ‐> Account | | 7. Under New Account Type, Select Exchange |
| 8. Under the Account Settings, Fill in the Fields displayed below. Enter the Account ID and Exchange Server values taken from step 3. Enter exchangecarrier.net for the Domain value. Do not enter your actual domain for the Domain field. Enter DSL Extreme for the account name and check the box that says ‘This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)’ |
| 9. Select the Advanced Field tab and enter mob.exchangecarrier.net as the Public folders server. Check ‘This DAV service requires a secure connection’ and uncheck ‘This server requires me to log on’ under the Directory Settings. Click Ok. |
| 10. You are now ready to start using Microsoft Entourage 2008 with your Hosted Exchange 2007 mailbox account. | | | | | |
