Mail Settings for Clients  

This article outlines the settings needed to access your email.  More specific configuration instructions for the more popular e-mail clients are provided Here.  E-mail may also be accessed using a web browser at www.DSLExtreme.com/Webmail 

IMAP Configuration Options

Verify that IMAP is enabled on the account.  For instructions on this please review http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=77695

Incoming Mail Server:  imap.gmail.com
Incoming Mail Server port is 993.
Incoming Mail Server requires SSL.

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing Mail Server port is 465.
Outgoing Mail Server requires SSL.

The Outgoing Mail Server does require authentication.  The E-mail address and associated password are the username and password.

POP Configuration Options

Verify that POP is enabled on the account.   For instructions on this please review http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13273
Incoming Mail Server:  pop.gmail.com
Incoming Mail Server port is 995.
Incoming Mail Server requires SSL.

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing Mail Server port is 465.
Outgoing Mail Server requires SSL.
