This is for modems set to bridge RFC1483
 
1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu. (In the upper left corner it is a picture of an apple)
 
2. Choose Network from the View menu.
 
3. Choose "Built-in Ethernet" from the Show Menu.
 
4. Click the PPPOE tab.
 
5. Check off "Connect using PPPOE"
 
6. Enter the username in the box labeled "Account Name"
 
7. Enter the password
 
8. Check off "Show PPPoE in Status Menu Bar"
 
9. Click the PPPoE Options Button
 
10. Under options check off "Connect Automatically" and click OK.
 
11. Click the TCP/IP tab
 
12. Choose "Using PPP" from the Configure Menu.
 
13. Click in the box labeled DNS Configuration
 
14. Enter 66.51.205.100 in the first line of Name server adds box, press return.
 
15. Enter 66.51.206.100 in the second line of the Name server adds box
 
16. Click the Apply now
 
17. Open a Web browser or other TCP/IP application to verify your connection to the Internet.
